Daily Spiral is designed with one core principle: your journal is yours alone. We don't collect user data, track your usage, or analyze your writing. Your entries stay on your device.

All journal entries and responses
Your writing history
Personal settings and preferences
PIN and biometric data

App Settings We Store

To make the app work properly, we store these settings locally on your device:

Subscription status (which features you can access)
Your birthday (if provided for special prompts)
Prompt delivery time
Active tone packs
Dark mode preference

iCloud Backup (Full Spiral Only)

If you're a Full Spiral subscriber and enable iCloud backup:

Your entries sync to your personal iCloud account
Apple encrypts your data in transit and at rest
We cannot access your iCloud data
You can turn this off anytime in Settings

Security

Your device's built-in encryption protects your data
Optional PIN or Face ID/Touch ID for app access
No data transmitted to our servers
Subscriptions verified securely through Apple

Your Rights

Delete all data: Use "Reset All Data" in Settings
Change security settings: Update PIN or biometrics anytime
Control backups: Toggle iCloud sync on/off

Children's Privacy

Daily Spiral is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
